Our quaint and cozy duplex unit is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Centrally located in the Puget Sound area, you are within day-trip/driving distance to many of the great places in the Olympic Peninsula. This includes the Olympic National Park, Rainier National Park, Port Townsend, Gig Harbor, the San Juan Islands, the Seattle area, Olympia and even Portland, Oregon or Victoria, Canada.
It's been our experience that most vacation rental properties are very large... and usually have fees that match! We were always looking for a small place for just 1-4 people. Luckily, we were able to find just the perfect place that offered a "cottage" feel AND a great view too.
Our unit offers one bedroom with a comfortable queen-size bed. The bedroom offers a large closet as well as a dresser that will more than handle all of your clothing storage needs. In addition, the living room couch folds out to a full-size sleeper if needed. The living room offers a TV, VCR, DVD and stereo and includes a window that overlooks the Sinclair Inlet.
The dining area includes table and chairs for 4 people and offers a large window to enjoy the magnificent view. Watch the ferryboats travel back and forth throughout the day, as well as pleasure boats and Navel Ships. Puget Sound Naval Station (PSNS) is across the Sinclair Inlet from the unit. Not only do you have an excellent view of the Olympic Mountains, PSNS and the water during the day, but also at night the lights shimmer off the water offering a magical and peaceful evening setting.
With its 1930's charm, the kitchen is equipped with a stove/oven, full-size refrigerator and stacked washer and dryer unit. The bathroom offers a tiled shower, with vanity and window to the back yard area.
The large deck off the front of the unit affords an excellent view of the Sinclair Inlet. It's perfect for enjoying lazy days in the sunshine. Enjoy a glass of your favorite beverage as you watch the boats sail by. The Foot Ferry that travels between Port Orchard and Bremerton many times a day and throughout the evening makes a picture perfect postcard. Enjoy the wildlife that can be seen from the front windows and the deck. You'll also see kayakers out enjoying a day on the sound. Deck furniture and a gas BBQ are available for your use. And don't forget to take a walk into town to explore the harbor, visit a restaurant, look for treasures or just get some fresh air and exercise.
