In the heart of the White Mountains you will find this log sided cabin named Lea's Cabin nestled among pines and evergreens and backed by a meadow on a 1 1/2 acres plot. Located on a quiet cul-de-sac there are few houses in the immediate neighborhood. Open land and quiet streets provide good walking areas and there are many lakes and hiking trails within a 50 mile radius.
The 1800 square foot pine-floored cabin has unique decor with Cowboy and Naitive American artifacts original paintings by Navajo artist David John old books for your reading pleasure ceiling fans and skylights. Master bedroom has a king bed computer and television outlets ceiling fan walk-in closet and sliding door exiting onto a large covered deck. Bathroom has a stall shower garden tub with jets wrap-around mirror over the basin cupboards taken from a 1940's house.
Guest bedroom has a queen bed with access to the ""old-fashioned"" bathroom with pedestal basin and claw-footed tub and shower.
The great room has a futon and 1940's chairs situated in front of the see-through gas fireplace (between kitchen and living room)
cable TV VCR ceiling fan and displays of Native American and Old West artifacts. The 8' high and wide frieplace focal point of the great room is decorated with small stones western items artifacts and memoribilia from family history.
The dining area opens onto a large east-facing deck with large wood table outdoor furniture gas or charcoal barbeque
available. A great place to catch the morning sun or evening shade for a special
dining experience. Kitchen is fully equipped with all small appliances utensils and pans needed for cooking and baking. Gas range dishwasher and large refrigerator are set among the generous counter space. A small table sits in front of the kitchen-side of the fireplace.
Utility room has small sink pantry shelves and full-size washer and dryer.
Off street parking is in front of cabin west entrance is onto a covered deck (with patio furniture)and into a large foyer where snow boots umbrellas and jackets can be stored.
Throughout the house guests will see the unusual painting of the ceilings walls in the kitchen's glass-doored cupboards . Decor also includes old apple crates used for shelves doors salvaged from old buildings antique and new combined throughout the house for a very eclectic presentation.
Pets are welcome and must have prior approval by cabin's owner. There is a $10.00 pet fee. Pet owners will be charged for any damage caused by pets.
