Soliera Cottage is a beautifully restored, Grade 1 listed property on the edge of the magnificent hillside village of Saignon in the heart of Provence. Standing in a spectacular position overlooking the Luberon Mountains, Saignon is a charming, unspoilt medieval village in an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is also much famed for its excellent gastronomy.
There is one double bedroom & one twin bedded room on the mezzanine level, providing very spacious accommodation for four. (One sofa in the lounge and one in the sitting/dining room convert into comfortable sofa beds, so four extra guests could easily be accommodated.) There is a large comfortable sitting/dining room (with a TV and CD player), a well equipped kitchen (with a fridge, oven, hob, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher & open fireplace, plus all cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery), a lounge, a study, a bathroom with bath & shower, & two separate WCs.
There is a private courtyard and garden with breathtaking views down the Grand Luberon valley. Sunny in the mornings and shady in the hot afternoons, there is cast iron garden furniture and a parasol for al fresco dining. Soliera Cottage is tastefully decorated and furnished to a very high standard with stylish French antiques from the sixteenth to the nineteenth century.
Situated on the edge of the village, Soliera Cottage has unmatched views down the Grand Luberon valley, while the charm of village life is less than a minutes stroll away. Although there are a number of shops in Saignon (including a bakery, small general store, post office, newsagent and a couple of gift and handicraft shops, as well as numerous terrace cafes and several restaurants) the lively market town of Apt with all amenities is just 4 kilometres down the valley.
